We make small sachets of therapeutic foods with 1-2 years of shelf life. They're tasty and include additional vitamins and proteins that provides adequate daily nutritious value for children suffering from moderate to severe malnutrition.
We currently make these therapeutic foods in the U.S. and plan to establish additional manufacturing and distribution facilities, mostly in Asian and African countries where large number of malnutrition women and children exist. This could also help their local economy thrive by creating jobs, while costing a fraction of the costs of producing the foods here in the U.S.
According to the FAO estimates there are 2.3 billion people suffering from less extreme, but still dangerous level of food insecurity. That's roughly 29% of the global population.
